The beach of Mavrovouni is protected by an international project, as it is visited every year by the loggerhead sea turtles which commonly called Caretta-Caretta and at the beach they dig nests to lay their eggs. A loggerhead sea turtle nest roped off as part of the Sea Turtle Protection Project of Archelon. It is 5 minutes away from Gythion town and near to Mavrovouni beach.

Villa Tzortzakos is situated 650m from the 5 kms long sandy beach of Mavrovouni, 5 km away from the beautiful sea side town of Gythion.The beach is 5km long and it has the advantage that it is never crowded. In the morning (from 08:00 to 12:00) it is perfect for those who love to swim and later in the afternoon the wind benefits those who love to windsurf. Watching the windsurfers is still a very interesting show for those who lie on the beach.
